SPRITEHZ SYNOPSIS:
1px: Sonic and Mario, after a long feud, finally decide to send envoys into a dark cave, and order to settle differences. But they end up meeting in person, and Sonic's trickery allows him to prevail.

2px: Sonic thinks he finally has Mario, as his android, Unit P (codename: SHADOW) is near completion, but he finds that it has breaken out and gives chase. But Unit P is stronger that Sonic expected, and escapes.

3px: Shadow is wandering around, trying to elude Sonic's troops, and happens upon a young boy named Link, son of a famed swordsman. Unfortunately, Link wanders over to Shadow just as Sonic's favorite android, Fenfir, finds Shadow. As a last-minute effort, Fenfir destroys the entire city, and warps Shadow's unconscious body back to Sonic's lab. Link, however, feeling strangely sympathetic, comes to rescue Shadow, and somehow succeeds.

4px: Shadow and Link seek to join the fight against Sonic and his empire, and seek the help of Mario's strongest mercenary (get the 3rd party reference?) Ryu Hayabusa. Ignorant of the fact that they are being followed by Sonic and his lackey, Knuckles, they lead Ryu into danger. But Ryu sees how powerful Shadow and Link are, and decide to take them to Mario.

5px: After Shadow and Link get settled into Mario's castle, Sonic lays seige on it and attempts to kidnap Mario. Proving his worth, Shadow drives Sonic back to the outskirts of the castle town.

6px: Foreseeing Sonic's second attempt to breach the castle, Shadow meets Sonic at the castle town, and Ryu meets Knuckles at the other end, and, after some difficulty, drive them away.
